Event on COVID-19 Vaccines and SARS CoV2 Variants

4/21/2021 2:45:02 PM Join us for a moderated panel discussion with experts that will explore SARS-COV-2 variants in Texas, the vaccine industry’s role in responding to COVID-19 and preparing for SARS-COV-2 variants, worldwide clinical status of COVID-19 vaccines, and SARS-COV-2 evolution and predictions for future variants. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Allison Ficht, Senior Associate Vice President for Research, Regent's Professor and Director of the Center for Microencapsulation and Drug Delivery at the College of Medicine. Panelists include Dr. Alan Barret, Director of the Sealy Institute for Vaccine Sciences at the University of Texas Medical Branch; Dr. Mahesh Kumar, Senior Vice President of Global Biologics R&D at Zoetis, Inc., Dr. Benjamin Neuman, Professor of Biology and Chief Virologist of the Global Health Research Complex at Texas A&M University; and Dr. Jennifer Shuford, Chief Epidemiologist at the Texas Department of State Health Services.
